Orgone creates an infectious album which blends many styles of funk throughout. You can really hear so many different elements of funk as they weave through their own intrepretations. It's this expermentation that can also come across in different ways. There is some really high highs and some in betweens but the record as a whole is a great listen. When you see their live shows you can tell the band comes at you in one cohesive force and are dialed in with each other. In fact, they absolutely blew my mind when I saw them live at the High Sierra Music Festival. My favorite act there. All in all, this album is testament to a band acknowledging the past, but also trying to push into new pastures. As someone that appreciates good funky music, this is a refreshing album since they don't just try to do what has been done. I look forward to their albums to come as you can tell they are continually creating and mastering their own sound. They are pretty much there already. -- M. Bergmann ~ Amazon.com
