Harvest Song is a real change-of-pace for keyboardist Mitchel Forman, who is usually heard in funky fusion or electronic postbop settings. This time around, Forman performs 15 quiet and wistful unaccompanied piano solos. He varies the tempo here and there but most of the music is laidback and thoughtful.
